Studlink Chain and Anchor Chains are typically made from high-strength steel, with common grades including Grade 2, Grade 3, and Grade 4 (U1, U2, U3). Sizes range from 13mm to 152mm in diameter. The material is often carbon-manganese steel, with a minimum tensile strength of 490 N/mm² for Grade 2 and up to 860 N/mm² for Grade 4. Viscosity is not applicable, as chains are solid metal. Buoyancy is negligible due to high density, but buoyancy aids can be attached. Chains are hot-dip galvanized for corrosion resistance.
